Is Your Water on Drugs?
According to Natural Solutions Magazine June 2008: “a five-month Associated Press
investigation revealed traces of pharmaceuticals in the drinking water supplies of 41 million Americans. ”
The article goes to to state that water in 24 metropolitan areas, including Philadelphia, San Francisco and Washington, DC where contaminated with antidepressants, sex hormones, antibiotics and other drugs. The treatment plants where unequipped to filter out these drugs, after passing through the body.
“The federal government doesn’t require testing for drugs in water, not does it set limits. Although the concentrations are “tiny,” no one knows the long-term effects of sipping even a very weak pharmaceutical cocktail year after year.”
Thinking about bottled water? Mark DiMaddimo of www.tappening.com says, “roughly 40% of bottled water contains repackaged tap water, and that industry doesn’t test for drugs either”
So what’s a thirsty consumer to do? Filter? Reverse osmosis? Ionize?
